Based in the rustic Kootenay mountains of Western Canada, Nathan Gurley and Sean Rodman of nationally renowned electro-folk duo Moontricks draw inspiration from the ongoing cycles of the natural world. Both volatile and constant—like nature’s best offerings—the band finds solace and beauty in the fusion of seemingly disparate elements. There’s a kind of technicolor campfire quality to their uniquely hybrid sound: Each track is steeped in tradition and polished with a futuristic sheen, mixing organic folk, roots rock, and old-time blues with modern electronic production. Since its initial release, the band’s breakout hit “Home” has reached over 5 million streaming plays, and their original tracks have been licensed for a wide range of television networks, including Netflix and Fox Sports. Their newest album, This Road, captures the energy that the Colorado-based band brings to live performances, each song stretching out along a path filled with melodious meanderings and percussive pathways that dance around a central musical theme. With the tracks more or less recorded live in the studio, the true spirit of their music is revealed, one that reflects the musicians desire for their songs to live organically and for the flow of the band’s energy to be uninhibited; listening to the songs on This Road is like being in the front row at one of the band’s shows.

Alex Medellin aka Late Night Radio is a Denver-based musician, producer, and pillar of the Colorado electronic music scene. His unique hybrid electronic sound is inspired by classic soul and third coast hip-hop.

“The easiest way to describe my music is, ‘Electronic music for people who don’t really like electronic music’,” Alex explains. “There’s hip-hop bass and beats, which keep it relevant. However, I’m taking it into new territory.”

Spafford are known for their astonishing improvisational ability and off-the-cuff extended jams, Spafford paints a picture in real-time each night with a musical palette known only to each other. The sandy shores of Asbury Park, New Jersey are hallowed ground in the northeast; the rolling waves have ushered generations of venerated musicians to worldwide acclaim. Dogs in a Pile, an eclectic quintet, has emerged as the heir apparent to the town’s rich musical legacy.
